Course Overview

1. Google Analytics Basics:

This module introduces you to Google Analytics (GA), including account setup, interface navigation, and understanding the role of GA in digital marketing. You’ll learn about key concepts like users, sessions, bounce rate, traffic sources, and real-time data.

2. Website Performance Measurement:

Learn how to measure how your website is performing. This includes analyzing traffic volume, average time on site, top-performing pages, and identifying high-exit or bounce-rate pages. You’ll understand how to use behavior reports to gain insights into user engagement.

3. Keyword Research (in GA context):

Although keyword data is limited in GA due to “not provided” results, you’ll learn how to analyze available keyword data from linked tools like Google Search Console. You’ll also discover how visitors find your website and which search terms bring the most engagement.

4. Goal Configuration:

This topic covers how to set up goals in GA — such as form submissions, sign-ups, downloads, or purchases. You’ll learn the importance of tracking goals and how to measure them through destination goals, duration, pages/screens per session, and event goals.

5. Conversion Optimization:

Understand how to analyze user journeys and identify where users drop off in your funnel. You’ll learn how to use GA data to optimize landing pages, calls-to-action, and overall user experience to increase conversions.

6. Site Performance:

This module teaches you how to evaluate your site’s speed and user experience using GA data and PageSpeed Insights. You’ll learn how slow load times affect bounce rates and what to fix to improve performance.

7. Event Tracking:

You’ll explore how to track user interactions on your site such as clicks on buttons, video plays, form submissions, downloads, and more. Learn how to set up events manually or via Google Tag Manager, and how to use event data in reports.

8. Analyze Performance:

Finally, learn how to read and interpret various GA reports — audience, acquisition, behavior, and conversions. This includes custom reports, segmentation, comparing date ranges, and identifying trends to make data-driven decisions.
